Refurbishing furniture

On Wednesday we spent another day working on our furniture. This is the second project we've done with found or discarded wood pieces, following our wood, nails, and bottlecap tambourines. Having already spent a day sanding and priming the table and chairs, alongside special guests the Wandering Hamsters, we were ready to paint.

Leah prepped the table by dividing it into squares so that each Cycling Giant or special guest Wandering Hamster would have their own space to paint. We learned about warm versus cool colours and chose to work with one or the other. Lines were eventually crossed and we all painted together all over the place. Great collaborative art-making guys!

All the table needs now is a quick coat of (adult-applied) varnish and it's ready to come back to life.
